A Varanasi court on Thursday granted additional time to the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) to complete its scientific survey of the Gyanvapi mosque complex.
ASI now has time till November 17 to conclude its survey and submit the corresponding report on Gyanvpi mosque.
Accepting the request of the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI), District Judge A K Vishvesh passed the order, Central government counsel Amit Srivastava said.

Earlier, the Varanasi court was informed that the ASI had completed its survey but needed some more time to compile its report along with the details of the equipment used in the survey work and requested additional time.
On October 5 the Varanasi court had already granted an extension to ASI, saying that no further would be given for the survey.
