Dr. Jangam emphasizes the role of policy in improving the lives of marginalised people. He is the chieftain of the lingayat community in Maharashtra and has made significant contributions in positively impacting lives of many Veerashaiva Lingayat community families. He strongly advocates now, that given the role of the community in shaping India’s history, the community has faced marginalization in Maharashtra’s political sphere. With the upcoming elections, he urges political parties to not only recognize the community’s decisive vote in 36 Lok Sabha constituencies but also field candidates from the Veerashaiva Lingayat community for the greater good of a very large population.

The Mahasangh strongly demands representation in the assembly constituencies where the Veerashaiva Lingayat community has a huge population which creates a dominant and decisive votebank. If ignored, they will field their own candidates in these constituencies as he feels time has come to fast-track the change for this large marginalised population. He urges more people to get connected with him, the mahasangh and the social work and champion the cause of Dr. Vijay Jangam for veerashaiva lingayats and also other marginalised communities empowerment for a definite social change through policy framework .
