One should keep their kitchen clean to ward off negative energies.

Expert suggests that it is better to keep brass, copper, steel and bronze utensils in the West direction.

Kitchen is considered to be one of the most important places in the house, as per Vastu Shastra. When a house is bought or constructed, it is said that one should pay extra attention to the kitchen, so that no problem can arise later on. Some people like to keep their kitchen well decorated and neat. They keep everything organised and also label their containers. Some keep the kitchen dirty and disorganised. As per Vastu Shastra, utensils should never be left unattended in the kitchen, especially at night. After using or eating in it, one should wash it. At the same time, a few utensils should not be kept upside down after cleaning or using them, as doing so is considered inauspicious and may anger Goddess Annapoorna.

According to Pandit Hitendra Kumar Sharma, utensils should not be left in the kitchen at night in the open. In an interview with News18, he said that if you place a pan upside down after making roti, it is considered inauspicious. Many people have the habit of making roti, then removing the pan from the flame and keeping it upside down. The Pandit explains that it is considered inauspicious and may cause a shortage of money in the house and lead to a debt burden.

The expert also said that kadhai (cauldron) should not be kept upside down as it increases negative energy in the house. It may also increase the effect of Rahu. He suggests using kadhai, washing it and then storing it away in its place at night to avoid discord and unrest in the house.

Hitendra Kumar Sharma also suggests that it is better to keep brass, copper, steel and bronze utensils in the West direction. He also suggests not to pour water into a hot pan as the steam that comes out of it can bring negative energy into the house and may displease Maa Annapoorna.
