UPSSSC PET 2023: Preparations Underway At Exam Centres For Over 20 Lakh Aspirants
UPSSSC PET will be held in two shifts: from 10 AM to 12 PM and from 3 PM to 5 PM.
As per reports, around 20 lakh candidates have applied for this examination, and the UPSSC PET 2023 exam will be held in 35 districts of Uttar Pradesh.
The Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) will conduct the Preliminary Eligibility Test (PET) on October 28 and 29, 2023, in 35 districts of the state. Approximately 20 lakh candidates have applied for this highly anticipated examination. Admit cards were released on October 19, and candidates are required to carry both their admit cards and a valid government-issued photo ID to the exam centre to gain entry.
UPSSSC PET 2023: Examination Pattern
The PET examination consists of 100 multiple-choice questions to be answered within a two-hour time frame. Candidates should be cautious as there is a provision for negative marking, deducting 1/4 marks for each incorrect answer. The test covers various subjects at a 10th-grade level, including the History of India, Indian National Movement, Geography, Indian Economy, Indian Constitution and Public Administration, General Science, Arithmetic, General Hindi and English, Social Science, as well as passages, graphs, and tables.
UPSSSC PET 2023: Important Information for Exam Day
The Commission has made admit cards available on the official website, which will specify the exam centre location and timing. Due to the substantial number of test-takers, candidates are advised to reach the centre at least an hour before the exam, ensuring they bring their admit card and a valid photo ID.
Electronic devices such as mobile phones and tablets are strictly prohibited within the examination hall and should not be brought to the centre. It’s important to note that the UPSSSC PET 2023 examination will be conducted in two shifts: from 10 AM to 12 PM and from 3 PM to 5 PM, potentially accommodating around 5 lakh candidates in each shift.
