Toyota Century: Advocate on way to court hacked to death in Karnataka | India News

dKALABURGI: A 40-year-old advocate, who was on his way to the district court in Karnataka’s Kalaburagi, was chased and hacked to death by two-three assailants around 11am on Thursday, barely 200 metres from his house .
Police said the assailants threw chilli powder into his eyes, indiscriminately hit him with a sickle and later crushed his head with a huge bolder.Patil was at the centre of a legal property dispute as he was the only legal heir to hundreds of acres of joint family land. Police suspect this property dispute behind the murder.
The advocate was allegedly carrying a licensed revolver with him, which he got after his father and uncle were assaulted in a similar way some years ago, at the time.
