Starting 3 August, India will play against West Indies for the five-match T20I series, and guess what there will be no Virat Kohli or Rohit Sharma in the team.

Yes, you heard it right. The team will be lead by Hardik Pandya and his deputy will be Suryakumar Yadav. Ajit Agarkar, BCCI’s newly-appointed chairman of selectors has bet India’s future on youngsters Tilak Varma and Yashasvi Jaiswal, who made it into India’s 15-member squad.

Other players who returned into the squad include Avesh Khan, Sanju Samson and Ravi Bishnoi. While those who missed the bus include Ruturaj Gaikwad, Deepak Hooda, Rahul Tripathi, Jitesh Sharma, Washington Sundar and Prithvi Shaw.

Pacer Mukesh Kumar has retained his place, who will have to prove himself in five matches to be played across Trinidad, Guyana and Lauderhill, Florida.

As per details, the first of which will be played at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy, Trinidad, on 3 August, second T20I will be played at the Guyana National Stadium, Guyana on August 6 while the third will be hosted at the same venue on August 8. The fourth and the fifth T20I fixtures will be played at the Broward County Stadium, Florida on August 12 and 13.
