A part of the iron channel of the pedestrian bridge in Kalwa was reported to be in a broken condition on Tuesday morning.  According to the Disaster Management Unit of Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC) officials, the incident was reported to the civic authorities around 10 am on Tuesday.

The bridge is located near Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Hospital, opposite Budhajinagar gate, Thane at Belapur Road.

“As per the information received, a part of the iron channel of the pedestrian bridge was broken and is in a dangerous condition. No one was injured at the scene,” the civic official said.
