Six of family returning from Chhath Puja shot over ‘love affair’ in Lakhisarai; 2 dead, others critical

Two members of a family were shot dead and four others were critically injured in firing Bihar’s Lakhisarai when they were returning after performing Chhath puja on Monday morning. “The matter is related to a love affair,” police said.

“Six members of a family were shot over ‘love affair’ in Punjabi Mohalla under the Kabaiya police station of Lakhisarai (Bihar). The victims were returning from Chhath Ghat after performing ‘arghya’. Three injured have been referred from Begusarai Sadar Hospital to Patna. An investigation into the matter is underway.
