Shiv Sena MLA Anil Babar passed away on Wednesday at a hospital in Maharashtra`s Sangli district. 

According to ANI inputs, the MLA had not been keeping well for the last few days and was subsequently hospitalised.

The agency further stated that the State cabinet meeting, scheduled to take place today, has been cancelled and that Chief Minister Eknath Shinde is en route Sangli to meet the deceased legislator`s kin.
