Sarfaraz Khan faces backlash for ‘relaxing’ in dressing room after golden duck vs England: ‘Mauj masti chalni chahiye’
After his powerful Test debut in the ongoing India-England series, Sarfaraz Khan’s recent performance in the fourth Test match was a major setback for the cricketer.
In the second innings of the fourth Test, the 26-year-old cricketer faced harsh reality after he departed for a golden duck to Shoaib Bashir’s hat-trick.
The dismissal came in the 38th over in which Khan attempted to negotiate a flighted delivery. The only thing he could manage to do was an inside edge onto the pad, resulting in a straightforward catch for Ollie Pope. While winning and losing are parts of the game, what infuriated netizens the most was Sarfaraz’s behaviour after his dismissal on Monday.

After the setback, disappointed Sarfaraz can be seen returning to the pavilion. At that time, India needed 52 more runs to achieve the target.
Moments later, when the onus was on Dhruv Jurel and Shubman Gill to bring the team out of trouble, Sarfaraz was spotted by a cameraman in a rather relaxed mode in the dressing room. He could be seen sitting alongside Mohammed Siraj and Kuldeep Yadav. The sudden transformation of Sarfaraz from disappointment to chilling out with fellow cricketers left the netizens fuming.
