Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 specs leak: 4MP under-screen camera, fast charging and other expected features
Samsung will host its Galaxy Unpacked event in July in South Korea. The company will launch its latest range of foldable phones at the event along with the latest generation Galaxy Watch and other devices. The company will host a separate event in August to launch the devices in the US and Canada.
Ahead of the launch, alleged features of Galaxy Z Fold 5 have leaked. According to a report by MySmartPrice via tipster Yogesh Brar, the upcoming Fold 5 phone may come powered by an overclocked Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor. The report suggests that the SoC will have a 3.36GHz prime core, with four performance cores clocked at 2.8GHz and three efficiency cores clocked at 2.02GHz.
As per the report, the device will be offered with up to 12GB of RAM. It may come in three different storage options – 256GB, 512GB and 1TB. However, the storage models will vary depending on the location.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 is tipped to have a 7.6-inch foldable display with a 6.2-inch cover screen. The phone’s main display is tipped to be an QXGA+ AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 120Hz. It may be equipped with a triple camera setup on the back. The system may consist of a 50MP primary sensor, a 12MP ultra-wide sensor and a 12MP telephoto lens.
The Galaxy Z Fold 5 is said to be equipped with a 4MP under display camera and a 10MP outer screen front camera. The device is rumoured to house a 4,400mAh battery with 25watt fast charging support.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 may run on the company’s One UI 5.1 based on Android 13 operating system. The phone may be mounted with a side fingerprint scanner and may have dual speakers for the audio system. The smartphone is tipped to come with IPX8 rating for water resistance up to 1 meter for 30 minutes.
