Rishabh Pant’s ‘Dabangg’ entry on Threads: From alerting Mark Zuckerberg to wishing MS Dhoni
Pant made a fiery entry to this latest trend and gained more than 50,000 followers on the first day. Rishabh Pant turned Chulbul Pandey, played by Salman Khan in Dabangg movies, to share his first post on threads. “Swagat nahi karoge, Excited to stay connected with you all here,” read his first post on Threads. For now, he has around 3,21,000 followers on Threads.
Thereafter, Rishabh Pant posted a picture of himself at the gym, with the inspiring phrase “Be legendary” adorning the wall in the background. While this post garnered considerable attention, it was his announcement about the new social media platform that truly captured the spotlight. Within moments, the post gained viral traction as fans eagerly engaged with the announcement, leaving heartfelt comments and sparking an enthusiastic conversation.
“Let’s create a thread for everyone to join in a welcoming way and see. That includes @zuck. And get as many people as possible in the same thread. We all can welcome on the same thread. Let’s try this public and respected people make it a big one,” he wrote.
Then, on July 7, he went on to wish Mahendra Singh Dhoni on Captain Cool’s birthday. “An inspiration to so many people across the country. Thanks for everything you have done for the Indian cricket. Happy birthday Mahi bhai!” he wrote.
In December 2022, India’s highly-acclaimed wicketkeeper-batsman encountered a perilous incident when he fell asleep at the wheel, leading to a collision with a divider on the Narsan border of Roorkee near Hammadpur Jhal in Uttarakhand.
Pant was en route from Delhi to Roorkee when the accident occurred, resulting in a miraculous escape as his car subsequently caught fire due to the impact. While the cricketer sustained multiple injuries, his condition stabilised, and he received medical treatment at Dehradun’s MAX hospital, ultimately surviving the ordeal.
Notably, Pant recently made a curious alteration to his social media profiles by changing his date of birth to January 5, 2023, effectively making himself a five-month-old infant. This change appears to symbolise a fresh start and a new phase of life for the talented cricketer following the accident.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is making efforts to expedite Pant’s rehabilitation process in hopes of preparing him for the upcoming ODI World Cup 2023, according to information obtained by ESPNcricinfo.
However, it is expected that his recovery will take a longer duration than initially anticipated. Despite the possibility of not participating in any cricket matches throughout 2023, Pant has made encouraging progress, recently regaining the ability to walk without crutches and ascend stairs unassisted.
