Xiaomi recently launched two new entry-level phones in India – Redmi A2 and Redmi A2+. Both the smartphones come powered by MediaTek Helio G36 processor and house a 5,000mAh battery. The handsets are now available for purchase in the country. 

Redmi A2, Redmi A2+ price 

Redmi A2 is offered on three different models – 2GB+32GB, 2GB+64GB and 4GB+64GB. All three variants are priced at 5,999, 6,499 and 7,499, respectively. The smartphone is offered in three colour variants – Black, Light Green, and Light Blue.

Redmi A2+, on the other hand, is priced at 8,499. The handset packs 4GB RAM with 64GB storage capacity. 

Both the handsets are available on Amazon, Mi.com, Mi Home stores, and Xiaomi’s retail partners across the country. 

Introductory offers include a cashback of 500 with the ICICI Bank cards.

Redmi A2, Redmi A2+: Specifications

Redmi A2 and Redmi A2+ run on the Android 13 operating system. The handsets boast of a 6.52-inch HD+ LCD screen with a 1600 x 720 pixels resolution, featuring a waterdrop-style notch that accommodates the front-facing cameras. The Redmi A2 series is equipped with a MediaTek Helio G36 SoC and offers up to 4GB of RAM. Additionally, the devices support virtual RAM functionality, allowing the available memory to be expanded up to 7GB.

On the camera front, both the Redmi A2 and Redmi A2+ feature an AI-assisted dual rear camera system that consists of an 8-megapixel primary sensor and a QVGA camera. This setup enables enhanced photography functionality. For capturing selfies and engaging in video chats, these smartphones are equipped with a 5-megapixel front camera sensor.

Redmi A2 and Redmi A2+ offer expandable onboard storage of up to 64GB, which can be further increased using a microSD card with a dedicated slot, supporting expansion of up to 512GB. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, FM radio, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Notably, the Redmi A2+ includes a fingerprint scanner for convenient biometric authentication.

The devices are backed by 5,000mAh battery that supports 10W fast charging through the bundled charger.
