RBI Grade B Salary Structure
Candidates who have cleared the process of entrance in Grade B of the RBI will draw a starting basic pay of Rs 55,200 per month in the pay scale of Rs. 55200-2850(9)-80850-EB-2850 (2) – 86550-3300(4)-99750 (16 years). Presently, the monthly RBI Grade B Officer Salary is Rs 1,08,404/- (approximately). In terms of allowances, candidates will get a dearness allowance, a local allowance, a house rent allowance, a family allowance, and a grade allowance. Apart from that, selected candidates will have an initial monthly gross payment (without HRA) of Rs. 1,16,914/- (approx.). If the bank does not provide staff quarters, then a house rent allowance of 15 per cent of the basic salary will be paid.
RBI Grade B Career Prospects
Candidates who are selected will have a probationary period for the initial two years of their appointment. According to the RBI, the probationary period can be extended up to a maximum of four years. It is also found that the candidates selected for these posts can also be posted and transferred anywhere in India. The candidates will also have the opportunity to get promoted to higher grades.
If a Grade B candidate works with honesty and sincerity, then, they can reach the level of Chief General Manager (CGM). Some of the candidates who are consistent in their growth and can handle the work properly even become Executive Directors (EDs). But only a few of them can become Deputy Governors, as it requires a lot of effort and time.
