UPSC CSE Mains 2022 results were announced on May 23, 2023.

A total of 179 candidates were selected for the position of IAS officer after cracking the UPSC.

The Union Public Service Commission exam is one of the most difficult exams in this country. It requires persistent efforts on the part of the candidate to clear this exam. 14 candidates from Bihar managed to clear the UPSC Civil Service Exam 2022. Amongst these candidates, only 4 have managed to secure the home cadre. These 4 candidates are Garima Lohia (2nd topper in UPSC 2022) from Buxar and Akanksha Anand (205th rank) of Patna. Anjali Sharma from Samastipur and Neha Kumari hailing from Madhepura will also serve in their home cadre, i.e.- Bihar only.

Other candidates from Bihar, who will serve in different cadres, are Rahul Srivastava-Rajasthan. Avinash Kumar will serve in West Bengal while Sandeep Kumar will work in Sikkim. Aditya Pandey will provide his services in Jharkhand and Abhigyan Malviya will work in Telangana. Utkarsh Ujjwal will work in Gujarat and Nirmal Kumar will work in the Tripura cadre. Prince Kumar will work in the Arunachal Pradesh-Goa-Mizoram and Union Territory cadre.

A total of 179 candidates have been selected for the position of IAS officer after clearing the UPSC Civil Services Examination 2022. The maximum number of candidates who became IAS officers are from Uttar Pradesh. 33 candidates from UP cleared the UPSC 2022 exam. After Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan holds the second place (22 IAS officers), in terms of successful candidates in the UPSC examination. Delhi is in the third position with 18 IAS officers, Bihar holds the third post and Telangana occupies the fourth post with 12 IAS officers. Madhya Pradesh is the lowest at the tally with barely 9 candidates clearing the UPSC exam.

The result of the UPSC CSE Mains 2022 was announced on May 23, 2023. It recommended a total of 933 candidates in order of merit for the appointment to various central service posts. These posts include the Indian Administrative Service, Indian Police Service and Indian Foreign Service, amongst others. These candidates were recommended in Group A and Group B to fill up a total of 1,022 vacancies.
