Karnataka PGCET 2024: Exam Likely to Be Held on June 29, 30; Syllabus Revised

The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) declared the tentative date for the Karnataka Post Graduate Common Entrance Test (PGCET) 2024. As per the official notification, the Karnataka PGCET 2024 exam will be held on June 29 and June 30. The exam authority, in an official notification, also notified of a change in the Karnataka PGCET syllabus 2024. According to the KEA, the syllabus and exam pattern of Karnataka PGCET 2024 have been ‘rationalised’ in view of the latest syllabus.
“The syllabus for the Post Graduate Common Entrance Test for MBA/MCA/ME/M-Tech/M Arch courses PGCET 2024–25 has been revised in consultation with Visvesvaraya Technological University. The syllabus and question paper pattern for PG courses have been rationalised keeping in view the latest syllabus in universities and other competitive exams. PGCET 2024–25 shall be held in line with the revised syllabus published on the KEA website,” stated KEA in an official notification.
Talking about the revised paper pattern, the Karnataka PGCET exam will take place in one session for 100 marks. The exam will take place for 120 minutes. Each question paper will consist of 100 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) carrying one mark each. It is to be noted by the candidates that there will be no negative marks in the examination.
The examination authority further listed down the applicants from all streams for whom the revised Karnataka PGCET 2024 syllabus would be applicable. Elaborating further, the Karnataka Examinations Authority stated that for the MBA and MCA, the question paper will be in MCQ format, with 100 questions carrying one mark each.
The PGCET exam 2024 will take place for candidates seeking admission in Postgraduate courses like ME, MBA, MCA, MTech, and MArch offered by the state universities and institutions. Interested candidates will be able to apply for the exam by visiting the official website of Karnataka Examinations Authority at kea.kar.nic.in.
Karnataka PGCET 2024: How to Apply
Step 1: Go to the KEA’s official website.
Step 2: Select New User and key in your registration details as asked.
Step 3: Post that, login by entering the generated User ID and Password.
Step 4: Fill out the application form with personal and educational details as required in the form.
Step 5: Upload the scanned signature and photograph to proceed with the application form.
Step 6: Pay the prescribed application fee to complete the registration process.
Step 7: Hit submit and save the confirmation page.
Step 8: Take the printout of the application form for future reference.
Candidates falling under the general category will be required to pay an application fee of Rs 650 at the time of registration, while reserved Category candidates will have to pay Rs 500.
