Gujarat Titans (GT) will go against the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) on Sunday during the 70th match of TATA IPL 2023. This will be the last matches of the league stages and the playoffs will start on 23 May where Gujarat Titans are set to face Chennai Super Kings in Qualifier 1. The GT vs RCB match is also clouded by the incessant rains, the city of Bangalore in receiving from past two days.  

For now, RCB has maintained in position in the Top 4, but things can still change as Mumbai Indians (MI) will play against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in a ‘do or die’ match at 3:30 PM on Sunday. If MI wins it will provisionally enter the playoffs and RCB will then need a convincing victory against GT to ensure a superior Net Run Rate (NRR).

In the previous two faceoffs at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bangalore RCB and GT have an equalizer and both teams won once each. The highest and lowest total of RCB against GT has been 170, while GT’s highest total against RCB has been 174 and lowest is 168.

The weather report can be bad news for RCB as if the match gets suspended and MI wins against SRH, RCB will get eliminated from the race to the playoffs.
