India and Pakistan will square off at the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 this October at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The arch-rivals will face each other on October 15.
India vs Pakistan World Cup: Head to Head
India and Pakistan have a long-standing cricket rivalry, having faced each other seven times in World Cups. Their encounters took place in 1992, 1996, 1999, 2003, 2011, 2015, and 2019. The only exception was in 2007 when both teams had a disastrous campaign and were eliminated in the opening round.
India has emerged victorious in all of their previous seven encounters, including T20 World Cups. The most recent 50-over World Cup meeting between India and Pakistan occurred in 2019 at Old Trafford. In that match, India posted a massive total of 336/5, largely due to a fantastic innings of 140 off 113 balls by Rohit Sharma.
