As the admission process is underway, Delhi University (DU) has received a staggering number of applications for its undergraduate (UG) courses, with the count reaching approximately 97,643 applications.
DU has adopted the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) this year to streamline the admission process for its various UG degrees. The university is now accepting applications based on the results of the Common University Entrance Test (CUET).
The CSAS portal was launched on June 14, marking the beginning of the admission process on June 15, 2023. Prospective students interested in enrolling at DU are required to fill out the online application form available on the CSAS portal. Offline application submissions are not accepted. The CSAS admission process consists of three steps: application form submission, course selection and preference filling, and seat allocation.
Applicants should note that the application fee for CSAS UG 2023 is non-refundable and will not be returned under any circumstances if the candidate fails to take admission. The application fee for candidates belonging to UR, OBC-NCL, and EWS categories is ₹250, while for candidates belonging to SC, ST, and PwBD categories, the fee is ₹10. Additionally, candidates applying for the Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) course are required to pay an additional non-refundable fee of ₹400. Furthermore, there is an extra charge of ₹100 for each quota for applicants under the ECA and Sports supernumerary quotas, reported News9.
Delhi University, with its 68 affiliated colleges, offers a wide range of undergraduate study options. It provides a total of 78 UG courses and 198 combined BA programs, covering a diverse array of academic fields. Except for the School of Open Learning (SOL), Non-Collegiate Women Education Board (NCWEB), and international students, admissions to all UG programs at DU are based on the CUET UG 2023 results. The university has a total of 71,000 seats available for UG programs across its affiliated colleges.
