The Chandigarh education department has released the admit cards for the Chandigarh Postgraduate Teachers (PGT) exam 2024. The exam is scheduled for February 10, 2024. Candidates should note that the admit card has been segregated for both Part-A and Part-B examinations, each with its designated roll number. It is imperative to download separate admit cards for each section. Additionally, candidates applying for multiple positions need to be aware that the Part-A admit card remains common and won’t be generated separately for each post. However, candidates will receive separate admit cards specifically for the Part B examination, as per the guidelines set forth by the Chandigarh education department.

This recruitment exam aims to fill a total of 98 vacancies for the positions of Postgraduate Teachers (PGTs) and school lecturers within the Chandigarh education department. Chandigarh PGT Exam 2024: Exam Pattern

The Chandigarh PGT exam 2024 will consist of 150 multiple-choice questions (MCQs). Each incorrect answer will incur a penalty of 0.25 marks. Candidates need to secure a minimum of 40% in each section to qualify.

Below is a breakdown of the exam pattern:

Section A: It encompasses various subjects including General Awareness and Reasoning Ability, Information and Communication Technology, Teaching Aptitude, and Pedagogy, as well as Arithmetic and Numerical Ability. This section consists of a maximum of 12 questions, each carrying 12 marks. It also includes Hindi, English, Punjabi Language and Comprehension entailing 14 questions in total (5 in Hindi, 5 in English, and 4 in Punjabi), with a maximum of 14 marks allocated. Candidates are allotted 50 minutes to complete this section.

Section B: It focuses on post-specific subjects and entails a maximum of 100 questions, carrying 100 marks in total. The duration allocated for Section B is 100 minutes.
