The long wait of students who appeared in class 12th and class 10th CBSE board examinations will be over, as the result will be announced shortly, said the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) in its circular on Wednesday.

Notably, a fake circular was doing rounds on the internet claiming that the CBSE will announce the results of class 10 and class 12 students on May 11. However, the education board clarified that the viral circular is fake and it didn’t issue any such circular.

The board also recommended students get their DigiLocker accounts activated with the help of 6-digit security PIN-based activation. As per the circular, students will get their 6-digit Security PIN from their respective schools only after they download the Security PIN file from CBSE’s Parinam Manjusha’s official website. Schools need to visit the site and use their LOC credentials to log in and download the file.

Breaking the tradition, CBSE will not announce the names of the board exam toppers for both Class 10 and 12. But, students whose scores will fall under the top 0.1 percent of candidates on various subjects will receive a merit certificate, like the previous year. Notably, the decision has been taken to reduce the pressure and stress on students and to remove the culture of unhealthy competition.
