The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will release the form for Class 10, 12 supplementary exams today i.e. on 1 June. Regular students who are placed in the compartment category can apply only through their respective schools.  

The supplementary examination for CBSE Class 10 and 12 will be held on 17 July 2023. The dates for download of admit cards will be informed separately.

As per CBSE’s notification, the process for submission of LOC for Supplementary Examination, both for Class X and Class XII, for session 2022-23 shall start w.e.f. 01.06.2023 (Thursday). The submission of LOC is to be done through the PARIKSHA SANGAM link https://parikshasangam.cbse.gov.in

The schools will have to use their Affiliation Number as a user ID and the password already available with them for logging in to the system for submission of LOC. Students will have to pay application fees of 300 for each subject while 2000 will be applicable if application submitted after the last date. 

Eligibility criteria for Class 10, 12 supplementary exams:

Regular students who appeared in Class 12 exams through schools affiliated to the Board and declared as compartment are eligible to apply only in one subject in which they are placed in the Compartment. For Class 10 students, regular students who appeared in Class 10 exams and were declared as compartment are eligible to apply in one or two subjects. 

Steps for online submission of list of candidates by schools for supplementary exams:

Generate a list of candidates placed in the Compartment from the school login

Select Roll No and Subject of the student who wants to appear in the Compartment

Finalize the selection and note down the “Application ID generated” 

Make payment Online

Generate a final list and keep an authenticated copy for school records along with proof of depositing fee.

As per CBSE, a total of 1.34 lakh Class 10 students were placed in in compartment category. The CBSE Class 10 and 12 results were declared on 12 May. A total of 93.12 per cent of students cleared the Class 10 exam, the pass percentage was down by 1.28 per cent points since last year. Speaking of Class 12 results, 87.33 percent of students cleared the exam.
