New Delhi: Union Education and Skill Development & Entrepreneurship Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Friday chaired a high-level meeting to assess the progress of infrastructure projects in 43 higher education institutions (HEIs), including those of IITs, IIMs, IIITs, IISERs, and Central Universities.

According to the education ministry, the meeting also examined the status of infrastructure projects in school education institutions, such as Kendriya Vidyalayas and Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas.

The event was attended by K. Sanjay Murthy, secretary of Higher Education, heads of HEIs, senior officials from CPWD, NBCC, and the ministry of education.

During the meeting, Pradhan emphasized on the need to expedite completion of infrastructure projects by the end of the year. He highlighted that the establishment of modern infrastructure would soon be dedicated to the nation, furthering the objective of nurturing 21st-century global citizens.

The ongoing projects encompass the construction of new academic blocks, laboratories, hostels, and vocational facilities for students across various IITs, IIITs, IIMs, IISERs, and Central Universities.
