The registration process for the FTII Joint Entrance Test (JET) 2024 has begun today, February 18. Interested candidates willing to apply can fill out the application form by visiting the official website at applyadmission.net/JET23-24. The last date to submit the FTII JET 2024 application form is March 17, 2024. Through the JET exam, candidates can apply for admission to the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) Pune, and Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute, Kolkata.

Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute is all set to conduct the FTII JET 2024 exam on April 6 and 7. The JET will be conducted for students seeking admission to a three-year postgraduate programme in cinema and a two-year postgraduate programme in Electronic and Digital Media.

For the JET 2024 exam, graduates in any discipline and last year’s degree students can apply.

Step 4: Fill out the form. Submit.

Step 5: Pay the application fees.

Step 6: Save and print a copy of the acknowledgment form for future reference.

FTII JET 2024: Application Fees

Candidates falling under the open unreserved category have to pay an application fee of Rs 2,000 for one course, Rs 3,000 for two courses, and Rs 4,000 for three courses. However, those belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Person with Disabilities (PwD), and female candidates are required to pay Rs 600 for one course, Rs 900 for two courses, and Rs 1,200 for three courses.

FTII JET 2024: Selection Procedure

Talking about the selection process, admission to the postgraduate courses will be offered based on the nationally administered Joint Entrance Test (JET) exam and subsequent rounds of orientation and interview. Participation in all three rounds is mandatory for selection. The Joint Entrance Test (JET) written test will be conducted for a duration of 3 hours.

The written examination will carry a total of 100 marks, and the question paper will be divided into two parts: Paper 1 will consist of multiple-choice questions (MCQs) and multiple-select questions (MSQs), both carrying 20 marks each. Paper 2 will have descriptive questions carrying 60 marks.

Candidates who qualify for the JET 2024 written examination will be shortlisted for an orientation course and an interview. Interested candidates should note that the Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute has announced 12 seats for postgraduate courses in Cinema and 7 seats for postgraduate courses in Electronic and Digital Media.
