The B. Tech batch of 2019-2023 Goa consisted of a total of 136 students. Out of these 136, 105 had registered for placements and 104 students have been recruited.

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Goa has achieved a brilliant 99 per cent placement success for the Bachelor In Technology academic batch of 2019-2023. IIT Goa has released the placement figure. IIT Goa was established on July 30, 2016, making it one of the additions to the IITs in India.

Earlier, the campus had 30 B. Tech seats to offer to the students, the count of which increased to 150. B. Tech courses are available here in the Computer Science, Electrical, Mechanical and Mathematics branches. The maximum package available for the recruiters is Rs 60 lakh per annum.

The B. Tech batch of 2019-2023 Goa consisted of a total of 136 students. Out of these 136, 105 had registered for placements and 104 students have been recruited. These 104 students include 34 students from the Computer Science branch and 24 students from the Electrical. The placement also included 19 students from Mathematics and Computing.

As many as 27 students out of the 28 registered students in the Mechanical branch have also been employed. 6 students have also received recruitment offers from international companies like Accenture Japan, Willings and Linkstaff. Students have also been given excellent packages during this placement session. The students have been recruited at an average package of Rs 17.19 lakh per annum.

In the academic year 2022-23, a total of 126 companies participated in the placement process. These companies offered positions across diverse domains such as Software Engineering and Product Management. The domains also include Research and Development Consultancy and Analytics. The notable recruiters were Media.Net, Amazon, Trilogy Innovation (Codenation), Paytm and ARM. Siemens, Mathworks, Mentor Graphics, Texas Instruments, and AMD also remained prominent recruiters. Google, Intuit, Adobe, ICICI Securities, HDFC Bank, GE Aerospace, Wabtec Corporation and OYO Rooms also recruited the candidates.

IIT Goa offers B.Tech undergraduate programmes for students admitted through JEE (Advanced). It also offers M.Tech programmes for those admitted through GATE. The B.Tech courses span eight semesters over four years, with the same curriculum for all branches in the first semester.
