Mumbai: BEST buses diverted in Sion due to rainfall
As Mumbai witness rainfall in some parts of the city on Monday morning, the BEST buses plying on the roads have been diverted on some routes.
According to the data provided by the Brihanmumbai Electricity Supply and Transport (BEST) official, the buses on roads in Sion areas have been diverted early in the morning.
“The buses on road no. 24 in Sion were diverted via RL Chowk, Road no. 3 in Sion. The diversion was restored around 9 am,” the BEST official stated.
The bus nos. which were diverted early morning around 5 am included – 341, 312, 7, 22, 25, 305, 352, 441, C10.
Meanwhile, the IMD had precided light to moderate rainfall in the parts of city and gave a `green` alert to Mumbai and neighbouring districts.
Meanwhile, the total water stock across the seven reservoirs that provide the Mumbai`s drinking water has reached at 99.24 per cent.

As of October 2, the collective water storage in these seven lakes amounts to 14,36,409 million liters, which is approximately 14,47,363 million liters, reflecting nearly full capacity.
BMC also stated that the average rainfall in Mumbai City, Eastern Suburbs and Western Suburbs on October 1, 2023, from 8 am to October 2, 8 am is at 11.43 mm, 6.33 mm, 3.07 mm respectively.
The IMD predcited light to moderate rainfall in the city on October 2, Monday and also issued a `green` alert to Mumbai and neighbouring districts.
On Monday, October 2, Mumbai will receive a high tide of 4.41 meter at 1:25 pm and low tide of 0.22 meter at 7:36 pm.
“Partly cloudy sky with light to moderate rain/thundershower in Mumbai city and suburbs,” stated BMC.
