New Delhi (India), July 15: Dr Amit Kumar C Jain, Consultant and Head of Amit Jain’s Institute of Diabetic Foot and Wound Care, Brindhavvan Areion Hospital, Bengaluru, was recently conferred with the prestigious Pride of India Award 2023 by the Indian Book of Records. Dr Amit Jain’s exceptional and original contribution to the field of diabetic foot is very well known in the medical literature in India.

In the year 2022, Dr Amit Jain set many distinct world records in the Indian Book of Records that, includes the Largest rule in medicine being Amit Jain’s Rule of “3”, the Youngest doctor to be honored as Father of a speciality in the medical field (Diabetic Foot Surgery) for his original, innovative principle and practice, Highest original Eponymous work by a doctor and many more.

Formerly a Professor of Surgery, Dr Amit Jain spent more than a decade deriving a new system of practice for the diabetic foot, which today is considered to be a modern and super modern diabetic foot surgery system from India.

Dr Amit Jain is also well known for his social service among his peers. He is known to run one of the largest Independent projects known, Amit Jain’s Project for Diabetic Foot, which aims to decrease amputation in diabetes patients. Adding to this, Dr Amit Jain also operates Amit Jain’s  Charitable Trust. Most of his educational activities on Diabetic foot are run through a unique CME known as ‘The Amit Jain’s Show’ with the theme ‘I love You…!’ series that incorporates humour and delivers important messages, which is very well appreciated by the attending audiences.

Dr Amit Jain is one of the few privileged to have received this recognition for his original published work from the Indian Book of Records. Year’s ago, the Gulf Diabetic Foot Working Group recognised Dr Amit Jain as an exceptional talent from the Indian subcontinent and presented him to the International forum.

Today, he is considered to be the surgeon who has many epithets like “The Doc Who Rocked”, “The Rocking Doc” and “This Doc is Still Rocking”.
