For the posts of Librarian Grade II, the candidates are required to have pursued their graduation in Library Science.

Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) has invited applications for 300 vacancies regarding the posts of Librarian Grade II. The eligible candidates can register themselves for the RPSC exam by clicking on the official website rpsc.rajasthan.gov.in. The Commission will announce the date of examination on the website post the finishing of the application process.

RPSC has notified that the candidates from scheduled areas can also apply for the exam for the vacancies available in the non-scheduled areas. The candidates for Scheduled Area have been asked to fill in their applications on a priority basis regarding the posts of Scheduled Area and Non-Scheduled Area. Failing which, they will not be allotted the benefit of reserved posts for scheduled areas. Only the candidates of Rajasthan avail the benefits of the scheduled area.

Important Dates

The candidates can apply for the posts from February 20 and can do so until March 20.

Educational Qualification

1. For the post of Librarian Grade II, the candidates are required to have pursued their graduation in Library Science.

2. Final-year students in the Library Science can also apply for this post. They, however, need to provide proof of their educational qualifications before the examination.

3. The candidates are also required to have a working knowledge of the Hindi language in Devanagari script.

4. They should also know the Rajasthani culture.

Salary

Post the recruitment, the candidates will be paid as per the pay matrix level L-11 (Grade Pay- Rs 4,200/-). The candidates will be given a fixed salary during the probation period.

Age Limit

The age Limit for the Librarian Grade II vacancies is 18-40 years. The candidates who belong to the reserved category will be provided relaxation in the maximum age limit. As per the notification, the candidates hailing from the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe of Rajasthan will get relaxation up to five years in the upper age limit. The candidates hailing from the Other Backward Classes, Extremely Backward Classes, and Economically Weaker Sections of Rajasthan will also avail of this relaxation.

The female candidates from reserved categories will get a relaxation of 10 years. On the other hand, the women candidates in the general category will get a relaxation of five years.

Selection Process

The candidates will be selected through a written examination. If necessary, scaling/moderation/normalisation can be used for checking the copies.
