Paras and Shalini, designer, Geisha Designs suggest how lehengas and ghararas are still topping the charts. “We at Geisha Designs have introduced the ‘Fleur’ lehenga set, a stunning ensemble adorned with 3D flowers, leaf, and floral motifs. The intricate embroideries, coupled with a beautifully embroidered contemporary blouse and an organza dupatta, make it an ideal choice for a day wedding. This set exudes grace and sophistication, offering the perfect canvas for accessorizing with beautiful polki and emeralds.”
For designers Saksham Neharicka who just unveiled the AW23 collection, a limited edition occasion wear line inspired by the full circle of love, the palette begins with sea green and ivory hues, where flower cluster motifs are delicately hand-embroidered in silk threads. “The intricate detailing on hand-woven Chanderi silks and tissue in a six-yard masterpiece sets the tone for a love story, evoking the initial stages of romance with butterflies in the core,” say Saksham Neharicka. The collection then transitions into burnt orange and brick red tones, featuring a kurta co-ord set adorned with a handmade print of blooming flowers in gold. This base is further enhanced by Saksham Neharicka’s signature distressed hand embroidery, drawing inspiration from the distressed walls of Indian gullies. Each piece in this collection tells a unique story, resonating with the universal theme of love.
Mehendi and Sangeet Night
PFor pre-wedding festivities like Mehendi or a sangeet night, Paras and Shalini suggest the ‘Zana’ gharara set. “This ensemble features a full-sleeve Kurti embellished with delicate beads, sequins, and 3D flowers, paired with flared gharara pants adorned with intricate sequins and 3D flowers. The relaxed yet statement style makes it an excellent choice for pre-wedding celebrations, allowing bridesmaids to shine with ease,” add the designer duo.
These carefully curated picks offer bridesmaids a range of options that seamlessly blend contemporary trends with traditional craftsmanship. Whether it’s a day wedding or pre-wedding festivities, these ensembles are designed to make every bridesmaid feel like a vision of elegance and style. As the wedding season unfolds, these outfits stand as a testament to the artistry and creativity that define the world of bridal fashion.
