NEW DELHI: The Delhi Police has initiated legal proceedings under the stringent Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act in relation to the breach of Parliament security, the officials said on Thursday. This breach occurred on Wednesday, coinciding with the anniversary of the 2001 Parliament terror attack.
During Zero Hour, individuals identified as Sagar Sharma and Manoranjan D infiltrated the Lok Sabha chamber from the public gallery.They released yellow gas from canisters, vocalized slogans, and were eventually subdued by certain Members of Parliament.
Simultaneously, two other individuals, Amol Shinde and Neelam Devi, engaged in a similar act outside Parliament premises. They released colored gas from canisters while proclaiming “tanashahi nahi chalegi” (“dictatorship will not prevail”).
According to police reports, these four individuals were part of a larger group of six that orchestrated the entire incident.
Authorities have officially registered a case under pertinent sections of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act and the Indian Penal Code (IPC) in connection with this event.
