Schools in Telangana will remain closed today, September 15, due to the state Teacher Eligibility Test or TS TET 2023. The Telangana government has declared a one-day holiday today across schools in the state. As per reports, the Department of School Education, Telangana will be conducting the TS TET 2023 in schools and colleges designated as exam centres due to which schools will remain shut for students. Schools were shut for half-day on Thursday, September 14.

A total of 1,139 examination centres have been set up for paper 1. While 913 examination centres have been allotted for paper 2 examination. This year, as many as 2,69,557 applications were received for TS TET paper 1 and 2,08,498 applications for paper 2. Of these, Hyderabad has the highest number of examination centres at 92 and Mulugu district has the lowest number with 8 exam centers.

The TS TET 2023 will consist of two separate papers which will be held in two different shifts. Both papers will be conducted for a duration of two and a half hours. Paper 1 of TS TET will be held in the morning session from 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM and paper 2 will be conducted at noon from 2:30 PM to 5:00 PM.

Candidates who only qualify for paper 1 will be considered eligible for teaching classes 1 to 5 while those who clear paper 2 will be eligible for teaching classes 6 to 8. For both exams, the paper pattern will remain the same. All the questions will be objective-type questions with four options to choose from for the candidates. Each question will be of one mark. There will be no negative marking.

Candidates have to write their name, center code, hall ticket, and question paper number with a black pen on the OMR sheet. If the hall ticket, and question paper number are not written correctly, the OMR sheet is invalid. Even if an ink pen, gel pen, or pencil is used other than a black ball point pen, it will be considered invalid. Candidate must carefully read and follow the instructions given on the OMR answer sheet before starting to answer the paper.
