Janmashtami: 35 govindas injured in Mumbai, condition stable
Around 35 govindas were injured while celebrating dahi handi on the occasion of Janmashtami today on September 7. Of the total Govinda injured, four are admitted in the hospital, nine received discharged, and 22 of them are begin treated in OPD. According to the BMC, all the injured Govindas are in stable condition.
In an update received from various government and Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation hospitals, it has been confirmed that two persons have been admitted for medical treatment. As of 12:00 PM on September 7, 2023, both patients are reported to be in stable condition.
At KEM Hospital, one person is currently under treatment. The patient`s condition remains stable. However, other major hospitals in the area, including Sion Hospital, Nair Hospital, J J Hospital, Hinduja Hospital, St. George Hospital, GT Hospital, Poddar Hospital, S L Raheja Hospital, Bombay Hospital, and Jaslok Hospital, have not reported admission of any individuals as of the latest update.
In the eastern suburbs, Rajawadi Hospital has reported the admission of one person whose condition is stable. Other hospitals in the area, including MT Agrawal Hospital, Veer Sawarkar Hospital, Shatbdi Hospital, Maa Hospital, and Sarvodaya Hospital, have not admitted any individuals.

In the western suburbs, no individuals have been admitted to hospitals. The hospitals include Bandra Bhabha Hospital, V N Desai Hospital, Cooper Hospital, Bhagwati Hospital, Truma Care Hospital, BDBA Hospital, S K Patil Hospital, or Nanavati Hospital.
Authorities have not disclosed the nature of the injuries to the two persons or the circumstances that led to their hospitalization.
