Teachers handling Classes 6 to 8 are recruited as Upper Primary Teachers in Bihar. With allowances, their salary can exceed Rs 49,000.

Bihar government is planning to hire over 1,70,000 teachers across various levels and recruitment tests have already been conducted. Candidates are now eagerly awaiting the results. Bihar TET and STET exams were conducted in February and March this year.

Candidates who wish to become Primary Teachers (Grade 1 to 5) in Bihar must have qualified in Paper 1 of the Bihar TET and hold the required degree/diploma. After successfully passing the recruitment examination and verifying their documents, they become eligible for the position. The Initial Pay (IP) for this role includes a Grade Pay of Rs 2,400 and a Basic Pay of Rs 2,500. Additionally, when factoring in allowances like House Rent Allowance (HRA), Dearness Allowance (DA) and Medical Allowance, the total salary can exceed Rs 40,000.

Teachers handling Classes 6 to 8 are recruited as Upper Primary Teachers in Bihar. To be eligible, candidates must possess the requisite degree/diploma and pass Paper 2 of the Bihar TET. Upon clearing the recruitment exam based on merit, they secure the position. The Upper Primary Teacher role comes with a Grade Pay of Rs 2,800 and a Basic Pay of Rs 28,000. When accounting for additional benefits such as HRA), DA and medical allowance, the total salary can exceed Rs 49,000.

For teachers instructing Classes 9 and 10 in Bihar, they are appointed as Secondary Teachers. To be eligible, candidates must have successfully passed Paper 1 of the Bihar STET. Upon meeting this criterion, they can apply for the position. Secondary Teachers receive a Grade Pay starting from Rs 2,800, and the pay scale falls within the range of Rs 9,300 to Rs 34,800. Additionally, they are entitled to benefits like HRA, DA and medical allowance.

Teachers handling Classes 11 and 12 in Bihar are hired as Senior Secondary Teachers. To be eligible for the recruitment exam, candidates must have successfully passed Paper 2 of the Bihar STET. Senior Secondary Teachers receive a Grade Pay of Rs 3,600, with a Basic Pay of Rs 32,000. When considering additional allowances such as HRA, DA and medical allowance, the total salary surpasses Rs 51,000.
