Velankanni festival: Western Railway to run special train from Bandra Terminus
The Western Railway on Thursday said that it will run special train from Bandra Terminus in Mumbai for the upcoming annual Velankanni festival.
In a statement, the Western Railway said that for the convenience of passengers and to clear the extra rush on the eve of Velankanni festival 2023, a special train will run between Bandra Terminus and Velankanni.
According to a press release issued by Sumit Thakur, Chief Public Relations Officer of Western Railway, the details are as under:-
Train No. 09043/09044 Bandra Terminus – Velankanni Special [2 TRIPS]
Train No. 09043 Bandra Terminus – Velankanni Special will depart from Bandra Terminus on Thursday, 7th September 2023 at 21.20 hrs. & will reach Velankanni at 10.05 hrs, on Saturday. Similarly, Train No. 09044 Velankanni – Bandra Terminus Special will depart from Velankanni on Saturday, 9th September 2023 at 21.45 hrs. & will arrive Bandra Terminus at 12.30 hrs. on Monday.
Enroute this train will halt at Borivali, Vasai Road, Panvel, Lonavala, Pune, Solapur, Kalaburagi, Wadi, Raichur, Manthralayam Road, Adoni, Guntakal, Cuddapah, Renigunta, Katpadi, Vellore Cantt., Tiruvannamalai, Villupuram, Cuddalore port, Chidambaram, Sirkazhi, Mayiladuthurai, Thiruvarur and Nagappattinam station in both directions.
This train comprises of First AC, AC 2-Tier, AC 3-Tier, Sleeper Class and General Second Class coaches.
The booking for Train No. 09043 will open from 19th August, 2023 at all PRS Counters and on IRCTC website. The above trains will run as special train on special fare.
